Mission & Vision
The San Mateo County Family Childcare Association is committed to providing quality support, mentorship and resources for all Family Child Care Providers. We focus our efforts on raising the quality of care by offering education, mentoring, and comradery to family child care providers. We strive to be an association whose members feel their experience, ideas, and suggestions are valuable and heard. We are committed to growing a thriving, robust and equitable Family Childcare community to serve the providers, families and children in San Mateo County.

“After re-joning the workforce and spending several months searching for QUALITY childcare for my daughter I came to the realization that being able to stay at home with her could not only be an advantage for us but we could also help other families as well. That is when I decided to use my extensive knowledge and education to start my own licensed early learning program in 2007.“
